The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management aligns with industry demands, enhances accessibility, and supports local economic growth. The hospitality industry is a significant contributor to Tennessee’s economy, providing numerous job opportunities in lodging, food and beverage, tourism and event management. Service industry jobs in Tennessee employ over 2 million people according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics (U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, 2024). With a continued increase each quarter in 2024 of over 360,000 employees specifically in the Leisure and Hospitality industry category. The demand for employees in the hospitality and tourism sector continues to climb above pre-pandemic levels, quarter after quarter.
The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management The online modality allows prospective students seeking to advance their servant-leader career or change their industry to do so through this program while balancing work and family commitments. Collaborations with hospitality and tourism companies and professionals locally and globally will provide career opportunities for graduates throughout Tennessee and the world.
The curriculum includes a strong business foundation the industry requires and is the only Christian centered program of its kind in the region. Immersive learning experiences such as virtual tours, simulations and required work/internship experience in the hospitality and tourism field will enhance the program.
